Attached please find the Call for Papers for the 33rd AMOP Technical Seminar on Environmental Contamination and Response to be held from June 8 to 10, 2010 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The seminar is an international forum on preventing, assessing, containing and cleaning up spills of hazardous materials in every type of environment. It also deals with solutions for remediating and rehabilitating contaminated site. AMOP is organized and sponsored by Environment Canada.

Veuillez trouver la Demande de communications pour le 33e Colloque technique de l'AMOP - Contamination de l'environnement et intervention aura lieu du 8 au 10 juin 2010 à Halifax, Nouvelle-Écosse, Canada. Le Colloque est un forum international sur la prévention, l'évaluation, l'endiguement et le nettoyage de déversements de matières dangereuses dans tout type d'environnement. **Important Update**

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the dates of the AMOP Technical Seminar on Environmental Contamination and Response have been moved up by one day and will now take place on Monday June 7 though Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Introductory SCAT course will be held on Thursday June 10 at Environment Canada's Regional Office located at 45 Alderney Drive in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Further details regarding the seminar, accommodations, registration, Preliminary Program and the SCAT workshop can be found on the seminar website.

Accommodations - the room block is booking up very quickly!
The AMOP Technical Seminar will be held at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Attendees are responsible for reserving and paying for their own hotel accommodations. A block of rooms has been reserved for seminar participants at the special rate of $169 per room (single/double occupancy), plus applicable taxes. Mention your participation in the Environment Canada Technical Seminar on Environmental Contamination and Response when making your reservation to receive the reduced rate. Please book by Saturday, May 1, 2010 as rooms and the special rate may not be available after that date, so please contact the hotel directly to make your reservation. Book by telephone; the on-line booking says there are no rooms left at this rate.
